People: A bit about who we are, where we've been, and where we'd like to go

Team members have backgrounds in television production, radio, photography, web design, marketing, voice-overs and as on-camera talent. These unique but complimentary skills work together to provide you with customized service and the opportunity to have "one voice" in your marketing efforts.

We collaborate with you in ways that others don't, offering ideas on
how to re-purpose your projects and maximize your investment.

  The Team :

Araminta Finn: Production Manager.   Lead Producer, Editor and Videographer
Araminta is a gifted videographer who excels at producing non-scripted shows - a niche typically made difficult because taping is live and unpredictable. Recently, Araminta oversaw such diverse projects as a 15-hour series of instructional DVD's, training videos for a medical technologies group, a mini-documentary for an historic theater, demo videos for internationally known professional speakers and Telly award winning web-based promotional videos.
She brings an understanding of the complete production process with her to every project. Early work at GS Communications/ Adelphia Cable in Frederick, MD was consistently among the top watched on the local cable channel and included nationally award-winning "The Wild Life with Whitney Hahn" (natural sciences exploration), “Studio 10" (live music), "Dining Out" (local fine dining) and "Behind the Scenes" (lively arts). She has a B.A. in Communications and Journalism from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
Awards: Two time Parents' Choice award winner, Director/editor, “The Wild Life”; 2007 Telly Award, “World Champion Speakers Promo Video”; 2007 Telly Award, “Whitney Hahn, Talent Demo”
Certification: Apple Certified Pro, Final Cut Pro 6, Advanced user

Whitney Hahn: Business Manager.  Web Design, Audio Specialist and Writer
The big picture person, Whitney frequently serves as the project coordinator, directing the talent and facilitating communications between the client and the production team. She manages the audio design and web site related portions of the business.
As a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, Whitney also uses her extensive marketing knowledge to help clients get the most from their video investment, suggesting low or no-cost strategies to maximize the impact of a video campaign.
She is a Mass Communications graduate from Towson University.

Morag Reid: Interactive Media Designer
Morag is originally from Scotland and has a diploma in graphic design and illustration from Telford College in Edinburgh, Scotland.  She has worked in the non-profit sector as a patron services director for 10+ years and most recently as a database administrator. She is currently pursuing a degree in Web Design and Interactive Media from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (Online Division).

Morag's design and business administration expertise raises the level of service offered, quickening response time and adding website and design services for clients.

Nick Ray : Associate Video Editor
Nick comes to Digital Bard fresh from his undergrad degree at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. While attending school he contributed to numerous media projects, including on-location producing in Belgium and France for the PA State System of Higher Education.
Nick's experience in 3D motion graphics helps him bring life to logos and depth to DVD menus, capturing the viewer's attention even before they press "play."

Samuel Tressler, IV: Associate Video Editor
Sam joins us with a background in film and theater.  With an undergrad degree in film and two short films that have seen success in many festivals throughout the States, Sam brings his own approach to the productions.  His experiences include professional video design work for The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and an assistant teaching position with the School of Cinema and Performing Arts program in Los Angeles.

Sam's experience with storytelling and camerawork  gives the team an additional source for quality work and variety.

  Frequent Contributors:

Like many production houses, we routinely employ freelance professionals who bring specialized talents and fresh energy to their assigned projects. This allows Digital Bard to hand-select and customize a project team best suited for your needs. The exact team make-up and level of involvement of each team member is determined in pre-production planning.

Kim Dow: Graphics Design
Kim owns and operates Kalico Design in Frederick and contributes visual elements with professional energy. She frequently creates companion pieces for print, such as DVD case covers and labels, website graphics and print ads. Our clients appreciate the cohesive look their new marketing elements have.

Stephanie Madara: Motion Graphics and Editing
Stephanie is a 12 year broadcasting veteran, currently supervising the On-Air Promotions department at a dual- network broadcast affiliate station in Baltimore, where she produces/edits/shoots original, eye catching promotional spots for news, programming and contests. Stephanie's news and theatrical backgrounds contribute a sharp, dramatically creative style to her work. From a comedic programming promo with vibrant colors, graphics and upbeat music to a fact driven hard sell promo for the news, she is well practiced at applying her skills under tight deadlines. She is an accomplished actress and voice-over artist, and a graduate of The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland.
